FIELD GUIDES AND KEYS  PAGE 1  2  3
Guided keys
Keys help to identify an organism by using a sort of process of elimination - does it have feathery antennae, if it does then on to the next trait, if not then another, etc. There are a lot of specialized and excellent keys available that are specific to one family or even genera. The keys listed here are broader in scope and geared more for general field identification down to the family or (depending on the organism) genus or species.
